Privacy policy

tinycupid (tinycupid.in) is a small collection of playful web pages and apps, run by an independent developer in India. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't sell your data.
What we collect
Usage data, through Google Analytics. When you visit, Google Analytics records things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search), your approximate location (city or country), and your device, browser and screen size. It uses cookies and a random identifier to tell new visitors from returning ones. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store IP addresses. We use this data only in aggregate, to understand what people find useful.
Server logs, through our host. The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
What you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we get your name, email address and whatever you write. Form messages are stored by Netlify Forms in our account until we delete them. We use them only to reply.
Copying a pickup line happens entirely in your browser; we don't record which line you copied.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them only for analytics (Google Analytics), and don't set cookies of our own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the services that run the site:
- Google (Analytics), under Google's privacy policy.
- Netlify (hosting and the contact form), under Netlify's privacy policy.
These services may process data outside India. We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps visitor-level data for the retention period set in our account (two months), and reports built from it in aggregate. Emails and form messages are kept as long as needed to answer you.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws elsewhere (such as the GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Email hello@tinycupid.in and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
Children
tinycupid isn't meant for children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
When the site changes (for example, if we start showing ads, or when greeting cards launch and you can save your own content), we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
